It’s a girl! Kalki Koechlin gave birth to a healthy baby girl on February 7 (Friday) and has now shared a post about her birthing experience that will surely melt your hearts. Not just that, the actress also gave us a glimpse of her tiny one in a series of three family pictures along with her boyfriend Guy Hershberg.
Thanking the entire hospital staff for making the waterbirth a success, the Dev D actress wrote, “So thankful to the whole team at Tulip Women’s Care and to my to doctors who simply refused to give up on me even when after 17 hours, I was so tired that I begged them to take the baby out any way they could and they said no, you’ve come this far and you’re going to have your natural waterbirth.

Awww. I’m not crying, you are! It was just a day before that Kalki revealed the name of the baby to the world. She posted an adorable picture and captioned it, “Please welcome Sappho. Born 07/02/20. She just spent nine months wrapped up like a momo in my uterus. Let’s give her some space… Respect to all the women who go through the intense and gruesome experience of birth.”

Kalki had announced her pregnancy in September last year. Talking about embracing motherhood, she said, “I already feel the changes in the way I react to things. I am more deliberate, slower, more patient. When motherhood comes eventually, it brings with it a new consciousness to your sense of person.” Well, we’re sure you’ll make a fantastic mother, Kalki!
