The Festival de Cannes 2019 commenced on May 14 and since then, we have been waiting for Bollywood celebrities to grace the prestigious red carpet. Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Kangana Ranaut, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mallika Sherawat will be attending the film festival. But this year, at the 72nd edition, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and popular TV actress Hina Khan are also set to make their Cannes debut.
It took them two whole days to finally make an appearance and how! Earlier today, Hina Khan grabbed our attention in a sheer grey embellished gown at the Cannes red carpet. And only a few hours ago, we saw Deepika’s Instagram stories of touchdown at Cannes and this black and white picture that spiked our excitement.
Our only hint about DP’s look was a tight high ponytail and a dramatic eyeliner in the making. Little did we know what was coming our way. To quote the 33-year-old actress:
“Taaaaddaaaaa!!!”
Whoa! Deepika wore an off-white gown with a gigantic black bow (that dreams are made of) by Peter Dundas and OMG! With a slit in the front high up to the lower waist, vintage balloon sleeves and a barely there V-neckline, Deepika in this custom Dundas gown is making it difficult for us to get our jaws back up. Well done, Shaleena Nathani, well done!

Deepika is representing L’Oréal at Cannes 2019 so, naturally, her dramatic hair and makeup is courtesy the Parisian brand. To top it off, Deepika went for a reverse cat-eye look on her waterline, mascara-coated lashes, contoured cheekbones with a pop of highlighter and peachy pink pout. Not to mention that glossy snatched high ponytail, ladies. Ugh!
