Not too long ago Alia Bhatt launched the first look of her movie, Brahmastra along with her co-star and boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor at the Kumbh Mela. But that might just be the beginning of a string of hits in 2019 for Alia Bhatt as she also has Takht and Kalank lined up. The actress has already established herself with movies like Highway and Udta Punjab and is fearlessly ready to take on more challenging projects. And here is proof!
A source revealed that Alia Bhatt was approached to play the role of Arunima Sinha, an amputee and mountaineer who scaled the Mount Everest. Alia did not waste any time in saying yes and will be seen in the adaptation of Arunima's book, Born Again On The Mountain: A Story of Losing Everything And Finding It Back. The source was quoted saying,"Arunima’s life has been an inspiration to many across the globe and what she has managed isn’t just an ordinary feat. When makers approached her to make a film on her and told her they were planning to get Alia on board, she was excited."
In her book, Arunima writes about how she went from being a National-level volleyball player to a mountaineer. As a 24-year-old, Arunima was pushed off a moving train by thieves, which cost her her career and her left leg until she decided to resurface as a successful mountaineer two years later. Her story is an inspiration to us all, and we can't wait to watch it come alive on the big screen.
Alia Bhatt's film, Brahmastra is slated to release in December 2019, which is the tentative month for Takht as well. Her next release is to be, Kalank in April 2019 which has been produced by Karan Johar and also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Madhuri Dixit.
