Becoming a captain in Bigg Boss is a big deal and that is why everyone takes the captaincy task quite seriously. It provides immunity to them, power to run the whole house and nominate anyone for elimination. Well, with great power comes great responsibility and not every gharwala is able to live up to that. How else would you explain Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat’s disappointing performance as the Boss Man and Lady? To put it out simply, they were really bad sanchalaks and their mistake cost them their captaincy and everyone got nominated for eviction. On the other hand, however strange it may sound (given his flair for unnecessary drama), Pratik Sehajpal was quite a fair captain. Surprising, right?
It’s simple—a good player does not necessarily mean that they will also make a good leader. And TBH, we wish that some of the Bigg Boss contestants had never chosen to be a captain in the first place because they were terrible. Either they were biased AF or believed in dictatorship more than leadership. Yeah, like we said—terrible! Intrigued to know who they are? Keep scrolling.
7 Bigg Boss Gharwalas Who Made A Horrible Captain
These BB captains across all seasons were the worst of the lot. Honestly, their captaincy was downright outrageous and made our blood boil with fury.
Rohan Mehra (Season 10)
There’s one simple rule that Rohan Mehra failed to understand—leadership is not equal to dictatorship. From spewing hatred towards his least favourite contestants (Manveer Gurjar and Manu Punjabi) to sending them to jail without a fault, he did it all. Without any remorse or embarrassment. NGL, we were embarrassed for him.
Karenvir Bohra (Season 12)
There are some captains who do plenty of bad things during their captaincy and then there are some who do nothing at all. Karenvir Bohra belonged to the latter category. He didn’t do a thing! Honestly, the audience didn’t think that the actor even knew what was happening around him. He was confused AF all the time.
Rakhi Sawant (Season 14)
Unlike Karenvir, Rakhi Sawant did a lot of things during her captaincy. A) She supported Abhinav Shukla. B) She supported Abhinav Shukla. And C) You guessed it…she supported Abhinav Shukla.
Eijaz Khan (Season 14)
Eijaz Khan legit saved a gharwala (Jasmin Bhasin) from nomination as a captain because she made halwa for him. He also saved other contestants from the red zone because they were his friends. *Cough-biased AF-cough*
Sonali Raut (Season 8)
One of the main duties of a captain in the BB house is to assure that no gharwala breaks rules. But Sonali Raut didn’t give a damn about her mates breaking the rules and broke them herself. Best part? Instead of apologising, she believed that her rebellious attitude was her USP in the house. Just, wow.
Himanshi Khurana (Season 13)
Alright, firstly, she should not have been a captain in the first place. Shefali Jariwala was biased as a sanchalak during the captaincy task and Himanshi Khurana took advantage of it (clever!). Next, she appointed a pseudo-vice-captain (that’s not even a thing, Himanshi) and remained laid back throughout her captaincy.
Dimpy Ganguli (Season 8)
Just like Rakhi, Dimpy Ganguli did a lot of things during her captaincy as well. A) She cried. B) She cried some more. C) She cried and blamed others for making her cry. Well, imagine a leader losing their calm all the time and complaining that people don’t listen to them. That’s Dimpy’s captaincy for you. Umm… Isn’t that the point of being a leader BTW? To make people listen to you? Apparently, not in her world.
We are now wondering who would be added to this list once Bigg Boss OTT and season 15 end.
