I want to feel safe
It is such a simple sentiment, ‘you get what you want’. But do you, really? We are told time and again that women are complicated, they are like an onion with many layers. We hear it all the time, women are so difficult to understand. But is that really so true?
When you ask women what they want, this is probably the list you will uncover. Love, understanding, faith, security – simple things that somehow seem like a TASK. I want to be free. I want to be able to love freely. I want to wear what I want and eat what I want. I want to behave the way I see fit without someone telling me that it’s not how I’m supposed to behave.

I want to be silly. I want to not be afraid. I want to be taken seriously. There are so many things that we want. But at the end of the day it all comes down to one simple thing, I want to let my guard down. I just WANT TO BE ME.
This campaign rightfully titled #AbSamjhautaNahin an initiative by ITC Vivel is designed to educate, believe in and celebrate gender equality with the firm belief that no one should have to compromise on their dignity or be discriminated against. They are imploring you to ‘un-condition’ yourself. To question time-worn mindsets and the social fabric that dictates your life, our life. All in the hope to inspire a collective of young individuals to look for equality and move towards a newer, gender-equal India.
