While B-town stars charge per film, the TV actors charge per episode and sometimes per day. In fact, some of them earn a lot more than Bollywood stars as well.
While we all struggle to pay rent and bills, TV actors earn more than what we can save in a year, in just one day. And as it’s said ‘Paisa bolta hai’, these television stars actually earn in lakhs–per day/per episode. Don’t believe us? 1. Ram Kapoor
The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor Ram Kapoor gets paid up to 1.5 lakhs per episode. This actor has also starred in Bollywood films like Baar Baar Dekho and Student of The Year along with several television shows. Ram will been seen next in the upcoming biographical crime film The Big Bull.
2. Karan Singh Grover
After the TV show Qubool Hai, Karan Singh Grover took a break from television to make his Bollywood debut. The actor made a comeback on the small screen as Mr Bajaj on Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot. But did you know that Karan was paid a whopping amount of Rs 75 lakhs per month for the show which is about Rs 3 lakhs per day!
3. Kapil Sharma
If Karan’s fees didn’t make your jaw drop, comedian Kapil Sharma’s fees per episode surely will. For season 2 of The Kapil Sharma Show, the comedian charges over Rs. 50 lakhs per episode! Shocking, isn’t it?
4. Sunil Grover
Remember Gutthi? The actor who portrayed the character, Sunil Grover, is known for his stint on Comedy Night With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. But his per day fees will surely blow your mind away. The actor-comedian charges up to Rs. 12 lakhs per day. Sunil was last seen in the controversial political drama web series Tandav.
5. Hina Khan
Before Mr Bajaj aka Karan Singh Grover, Hina Khan was said to be the highest-paid actor on Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot. According to the rumour mill, the actress was paid 2 to 2.25 lakh per episode. But what’s even more surprising is that even at the beginning of her career, Hina was paid up to Rs. 80,000 per episode which went up to Rs. 1 lakh due to her growing popularity.
6. Karan Patel
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame actor Karan Patel draws approximately Rs. 1.25 lakh per day. The actor started his career on the small screen in 20003 and starred in some of the most popular shows including Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kasamh Se. In fact, Karan also starred in the original Kasautii Zindagi Kay and went on to replace Karan Singh Grover as Mr Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot.
7. Mishal Raheja
The Ishq Ka Rang Safed actor Mishal Raheja gets paid from 1.6 lakhs to 2 lakhs per episode. Well, we’re not surprised. After all, he has been in the TV industry for over 15 years now.
8. Divyanka Tripathi
Much like her Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-star Karan Patel, Divyanka Tripathi earns between 1 to 1.5 lakh per episode. Before, you let that sink in, hear this. The actress also ranked 94th in the Forbes’ Highest Earning Indian Celebs in 2018 and then on the 79th rank in 2019.
9. Sakshi Tanwar
Known for the popular Indian TV show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Sakshi Tanwar charges up to Rs. 1.25 lakhs per episode. Much like her Bade Achhe Lagte Hain co-star Ram Kapoor, Sakshi has been in the industry for nearly 22 years. And this actress’ stint in season 2 of 24 and web series Mission Over Mars is proof that Sakshi can grab your attention in new-age shows as well as television.
10. Ronit Roy
From what we know, the original Mr Bajaj of Kasautii Zindagi Kay aka Ronit Roy get paid anything between Rs. 1.25 to 1.5 lakhs per episode! Well, he did star in several films including Ugly, Student of the Year, 2 States and Sarkar 3 as well as popular Hotstar web series Hostages.
Indian TV stars earnings are proof that no matter how much we dislike or criticise the over-dramatic never-ending daily soaps, they’ll continue to be around for a long long time.
