The Good Glamm Group Raises $150 Million, Becomes India’s First DTC Beauty Company To Enter Unicorn Club

The festive season has turned out to be a double dhamaka for all of us at the Good Glamm Group! We’ve just hit an incredible milestone as a company and we cannot contain our excitement. The Good Glamm Group has raised $150 million funding in its Series D round.  This funding round is co-led by marquee tech and private equity investors Prosus Ventures (Naspers), Warburg Pincus along with participation from Alteria Capital and existing investors L’Occitane, Bessemer Venture Partners, Amazon, Ascent Capital and the Mankekar Family Office. 

The Good Glamm Group is South Asia’s largest content-to-commerce conglomerate, with a portfolio comprising proprietary beauty and personal care brands. These brands are powered by a digital ecosystem of content, community and creator assets. 

With this Series D funding, the Good Glamm Group has become India’s first DTC beauty & personal care company to reach unicorn status!

This milestone comes weeks after the Group acquired ScoopWhoop, India’s largest digital media platform for men, further consolidating its position as a ‘Digital House of Brands’. 

Brands that come under the Good Glamm Group umbrella include MyGlamm (India’s fastest-growing cosmetics brand), The MomsCo (India’s leading premium mom and baby brand), POPxo (India’s first brand of cosmetics for tweens) and Baby Chakra (India’s first baby products brand co-created with mothers).  

These brands will be able to leverage a large digital audience comprising the Group’s 3.5 billion monthly impressions, 88 million POPxo users, 100 million ScoopWhoop users, BabyChakra’s 20 million mothers’ community with over a 10,000 doctors network, and 220,000 Plixxo Influencers.  In addition to this they will be able to leverage the 30,000 offline points of sale network owned by the Good Glamm Group

With this incredible milestone, what does the future hold for us? The Good Glamm Group will be utilising its latest funding to invest in product development, support data science and technology research, increase offline expansion, fund working capital requirements. It will work on expanding our creator assets and content creation capabilities and digital reach of POPxo, Plixxo, BabyChakra and ScoopWhoop. The Group will also continue to make investments in more beauty & personal care brands as and when the opportunity arises.
