I wasn’t really seriously dating him. We went on dates, yes, but we hadn’t put a label to our relationship. You could call it a fling or a friendship with benefits, we were fine with both. He was a year older to me and much more mature when it came to matters of the bedroom. I had had sex before but it was mostly just regular guy-on-top kind of sex with a little bit of kink here and there. However, I hadn’t tried many different sex position.
It was during one of the nights spent at his place when he asked if I wanted to try doggy style – mostly because we were getting exhausted of the regular sex and, according to him, doggy style worked miracles for him. My instant reaction was to say a blatant no. I mean, so what if it worked for him, there were tons of inhibitions in my mind that stopped me from giving it a shot. But then I remembered how this was an…experimental relationship for me and if I didn’t experiment in the bedroom now, then when would I? So I agreed later.
It was a very nerve wracking experience. I had always been very conscious about my body and the fact that he would now see it from an angle that even I hadn’t, without a blanket to cover up any tiny flaws, was just plain scary. In my head, I had to keep saying, ‘it’s something new, it’ll be fun, don’t back out, don’t back out…’ as I turned to face the wall.
After the initial hiccup of getting into the exact, um, position, we finally got down to it. And I have to say – I quite enjoyed it! It was a feeling I hadn’t ever felt before! And man, was it hitting all the right spots! As his hands wandered all over my body, the dull wall in front of me suddenly turned into the most beautiful scenery, if you know what I mean!
All my insecurities from before seemed to have vanished and I felt a newfound sexual confidence, the kind I didn’t even know I had in me, and it was really exciting!
Unfortunately, he and I didn’t quite get along outside of the bedroom enough to actually have a long lasting relationship. But I always cherish those few months with him for giving me something I never really thought I could have – a sex position that satisfies almost every need of mine!
