Before introducing Tejasswi Prakash as the new face of Naagin-verse, Ekta Kapoor had hinted that the name of the show’s new lead starts with ‘M’. This happened during a Weekend Ka Vaar episode in the early days of Bigg Boss 15 and we were all left guessing. Naturally, we were in for some solid confusion when the Naagin makers finally announced that Tejasswi had been signed as the lead actress for season 6. The makers were also accused of fooling the audience and pulling misleading publicity stunts. However, looks like Ekta wasn’t playing around with her hints and meant what she said.
As per the latest updates, Tejasswi is not going to be the only naagin this season. It turns out that Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 fame, Mahekk Chahal has also been roped in for the show. The actress has revealed the same on social media while introducing us to the interesting character that she’d be playing. “The wait is finally over….. Excited to reveal my look and my character for Naagin 6. Naagin’s character spoke to me so deeply and I knew then I just had to take it up. She is the protector of India, she is strong and powerful. I believe Indian women these days exude these qualities and that is why I wanted to take up a role that represents my belief in the woman of today,” she has written.
We should take a moment here to admire Mehakk’s killer look for the show and just how great that cobalt blue suits her. You ought to love the use of fabric and how her see-through shimmer dhotti has been draped in a wild and organic fashion. There is a raw beauty to the look that has been completed with silver accessories instead of the same old gold picks. This is a stunning look for the character and we are sure that Mehakk will kill it as the new naagin.
The actress has also commented on her role in an interaction with an online media portal now and has talked about how she is excited to play an Indian superhero. “I am super excited. You know as kids, boys wanted to be Spider-Man and Superman, and likewise girls wanted to be superwoman. So I am really looking forward to this,” she says. Mahekk has further revealed that both she and Tejasswi would be playing positive roles in the show. In all honesty, we are still confused about how all of this is going to pan out. Meanwhile, the Naagin 6 makers have released a new promo where Mahekk can be seen sharing the limelight with Tejasswi and Simba Nagpal.

Just like Tejasswi and Simba, Mahekk too has been a part of Bigg Boss in the past. She was seen in the 5th season of the reality show and ended up at the second spot. Later, she did a cameo in Kavach… Kaali Shaktiyon Se and made guest appearances in Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Punjabi films.
Those who have seen Mehakk on Khatron Ke Khiladi, know that she is a total badass and we hope that she brings a bit of her intense persona to Naagin as well. We look forward to her Naagin innings!
