Meant to promote safe sex, this strange restaurant has mannequins dressed in condoms (clothes made out of condoms) and condoms hanging from the ceiling. The food, however, is quite normal and actually good. Thank god!

This tiny but insanely popular restaurant in Ahmedabad is built on a cemetery and has been around for over 50 years. The owner, Krishnan Kutti chose not to remove the graves from the site and instead placed the restaurant tables around them. He believes that the graveyard brings him good luck.

This Belgian based novelty restaurant service uses a crane to hoist you 150 feet into the air for an unforgettable dining experience. Like on a roller coaster, you’re strapped on to your seats and even the waiters walk around strapped for their lives. 8. Dialogue In The Dark – Hyderabad / Chennai, India

Weird only because of the theme, which involves guests reaching their tables in the dark and then eating their food in pitch-darkness. People who’ve visited the place rave about the food and the fact that they were not able to even see their hands. The staff here is visually impaired and know their way in and out perfectly. The theme is an initiative to drive jobs for the specially abled and sensitise people on the abilities of the blind.
