Guess Who’s Playing The Male Lead In The Zoya Factor, Opposite Sonam Kapoor!

Sonam Kapoor had a surprise in store for all of us this morning as she took to her social media platform, Instagram, to finally confirm that she will begin shooting for her next film – The Zoya Factor – soon. The book of the same title, written by Anuja Chauhan was originally published in 2008 and was a roaring success, almost instantly. A romantic comedy woven around cricket also touches upon more delicate topics, like superstition and luck. And the film will be exactly that! But, that’s not the only reason why we’re excited about this film.

The update that really got us excited was the fact that the actor cast opposite Sonam is none other than Dulquer Salmaan! He will be essaying the role of Sonam Kapoor’s love interest in the movie. The character is that of Nikhil Khoda, the captain of the Indian Cricket Team. With Dulquer’s super good looks and Sonam’s bubbly aura, this is one couple that will truly create magic on the screen.

While the film has not hit the floors yet, the lead actors did an adorable photoshoot that has left all of us movie bluffs eagerly awaiting more information. In the photo, Sonam and Dulquer can be seen posing with a copy of the novel – The Zoya Factor with their character names mentioned, leaving no guesswork to be done by their fans and followers.

We’re already well aware of the fact that Sonam Kapoor is a fan of Anuja Chauhan’s written works. In various past interviews that were taken around the time of the book’s release, Sonam had openly expressed her wishes to buy the rights to the film and even star in  the same. And looks like the Kapoor lass went ahead and did just that. Well, looks like the filmmakers accomplished what they planned because we are on tenterhooks to know more!
