In Feb 2023, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani took over the internet with pictures of their wedding. The ceremony was held in Jaisalmer at Suryagarh Palace and it still makes our hearts flutter. Initially, the couple would remain tight-lipped about their relationship. But ever since they tied the knot, the two can’t stop gushing over each other. They never miss a chance to talk about their marriage and always give a glimpse of their blissful life together. Recently Kiara opened up about Sidharth being a very supportive husband and always being there for her.
In a recent interview with a leading daily, Kiara shared how negative comments during the release of her film Satyaprem Ki Katha affected her. She felt overwhelmed by all the trolling until Sidharth stepped in to help her deal with them.
Kiara said, “This is all too new for me because, on one hand, people troll you for very ridiculous things, but now people were trolling you because you are a married actor, and people expect you to say or do certain things. That got to me slightly. I was not able to brush it off. It was really affecting me. There was a little bit of negativity that really got to me and I didn’t even discuss it with my husband. I was like I don’t want to talk about it because the minute I talk about it then I am going deeper into it so let’s not. He had also seen it on his own and did not bring it up because he didn’t want to make a big deal of it.”
The actress further added how Sidharth helped her navigate through all this. She said, “He was the one who explained it to me. He said ‘Look there will always be these negative trollers…but if you’re gonna give so much importance to this and be sitting at home and crying and behaving like s*** has hit the roof right now. What’s wrong with you? You don’t know them. They don’t know you. These could be like certain fans who did not like that we got married. Just let it be. They’ll grow up.”
This also made her realise how lucky she is to have Sidharth as a life partner. Kaira said, “If he is so mature about it, why am I sitting and feeling all of these things? That time I was like, ‘thank god, I have somebody who has got so much wisdom and maturity and experience in this matter’.”
Kiara also revealed how Sidharth has helped her to become more ambitious and mature post their wedding. Kiara said, “He has helped me to become more chill, which I anyway was. It is nice to have a partner who is also in this field because there are interesting conversations at home. We do discuss work in a passionate way, I would say. With all of our conversations, probably a little bit. He has also nudged me to be (ambitious) ‘You’re capable of so much more. Don’t hold back, just go and do what you wanna do’ which is great to have.”
When Sidharth Called Kiara His ‘Treasure’
A while back, a video of Sidharth talking about his wife at an event went viral. He called Kiara his most prized treasure in a conversation with the host. Sid said, “My wife, life partner Kiara, my most prized treasure. Just recently we got married and I am very happy.”
Further, when asked to name a Bollywood celebrity he’ll challenge to play a game with, Sid said, “Again my wife Kiara. Dekho hum roz…shadi bhi ek game he hai (see we every day..marriage is also a game). Hum roz kehlte hai ghar pe(we play it every day at home). And I think I’ve realised in these few months that there’s no ‘I’ in marriage. So it’s always ‘we’. And we win, we play, and that’s life.”
Well, Sid definitely shared a solid piece of advice. And NGL, looks like Kiara has definitely won at life by having Sid as her husband. Now where can we find a guy like him?
