A few years ago, Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill met in the Bigg Boss 13 house and the rest, as they say, is history. They became an integral part of each other’s lives and we started rooting for them. On the tragic day when Sid left us for someplace better, our hearts cried not just for him, but for Shehnaaz as well. We wondered what would happen to that innocent girl who lost the love of her life. But, Shehnaaz made him and all of us proud by pulling herself together and facing the world with a dazzling smile. Her recent song Tu Yaheen Hain, a tribute to the late actor, is proof that she gathers her courage from him and believes that he’s looking out for her. You know what? We believe that too.
During a recent interview with a leading daily, Shehnaaz revealed what importance the hashtag ‘Sidnaaz’ holds in her life. She said that while several people might consider it a mere hashtag, it meant way more to her.
Shehnaaz said that #Sidnaaz is an entire life that she once lived and still holds close to her heart. She said, “For people, SidNaaz was just a hashtag, their favourite Jodi, but for me, it was a life that I lived and experienced and it will stay with me forever.” She expressed her gratitude and showered love on all her fans who shipped the pair from the beginning. “A big thank you to the audience who loved our pairing together and the hashtag as well. But for me it was not just a hashtag, it was my everything,” she added.
It took Shehnaaz months after Sid’s death to return to work and social media. While her fans supported her, there were a few who questioned her decision. They were inconsiderate enough to troll the actress for moving on in life and honestly, this infuriates us. Thankfully, Shehnaaz never let this negativity get to her and shared that Sid always wished to see her laughing.
We agree! She is a strong, beautiful, talented young woman and should never let a bunch of insensitive trolls dictate her life.
