Sanya Malhotra’s Spring Curls Are The Thing Of Dreams & Here’s How You Can Get Them Too

Sanya Malhotra’s Spring Curls Are The Thing Of Dreams & Here’s How You Can Get Them Too

I feel like Sanya Malhotra deserves an Instagram handle just for her hair. I’m telling you, every time she posts a picture, I can’t help but gawk at her hair- it’s springy, unruly, gorgeous, shiny, and healthy. And once again the actor wowed us with her stunning photographs where she’s letting her natural hair down in all its glory.

The Dangal star took to social media and shared beautiful photographs of herself where she’s rocking red lipstick, flushed cheeks and slightly feathered out brows. She’s put a tiny bit of eyeshadow to add depth to her lids and a ton of mascara for flirty lashes. While her makeup is gorgeous, subtle, and perf for social distancing season, it’s still her hair that I can’t get my eyes off of.

Five Tips To Help You Look After Your Curly Locks

If you have curly hair just like Sanya Malhotra, you need to follow this haircare routine:

A Pre-Shampoo Routine Will Work Wonders

Use a conditioner or conditioning oil and apply it on dry hair. Divide your hair into sections and work in the conditioner thoroughly. Use your fingers to separate each curl. Leave it in for at least 20 minutes and if you want you can put on a shower cap or wrap a towel around your hair. This will help your hair retain moisture and warmth and will open up the cuticles of your strands to let the product penetrate deeper.

Shampoo With Cold Water

Yes, there’s nothing more luxurious than a hot water shower. To maintain that shine, wash your hair with cold water. This helps lock in the moisture.

Do Not Shampoo Your Hair Daily

You don’t need to wash your hair daily. Think of your hair as a very delicate sweater, that will get ruined if you wash it too much. Use a gentle shampoo or a mild cleanser, especially suited for curly hair. If you want to wash it every day- use only conditioner cause daily shampooing will stretch out weak strands and we don’t want that!

Ditch The Regular Towel

Wiping your curly hair with a regular towel will make them frizzy. Opt for a microfiber towel or a soft cotton T-shirt to blot excess moisture. Then plop! Lay the T-shirt or micro-fiber towel flat. Flip your head over and gently place your curls in the shirt or towel. Secure it in place with a clip and leave it on for 30 minutes. This will give more definition to your curls and will keep your hair frizz-free.

Say Bye-Bye To Heat Appliances

Straightening your hair or blow-drying it ever so often can open up your curls, making them rough and dry. Try air drying your hair as much as you can but if you really are a heat-junkie, use a diffuser- it evenly distributes heat to all strands and is a lot gentler than direct heat from a blow dryer. To diffuse, start at the roots using circular motions, moving in the same direction. Continue drying, keeping the dryer at a 90-degree angle to your scalp. Finally, diffuse the ends. When your hair is just about dry, hit the cool button on your dryer to lock in all the sheen.
