Sanya Malhotra's curls need their own fan page and I'm not even joking about it- they're springy, bouncy, and hella gorgeous. It's one of her most defining features and she carries off the messy, curly, straight-out-of-bed look amazingly. However, Sanya Malhotra with straightened hair AND bangs is a whole new vibe and we love this look too!
The Dangal actor recently shared a photograph of herself with smoothened hair and straight bangs and we actually could not recognise her. This was her look for her upcoming film with Vidya Balan called Shakuntala Devi.
Talking about how important hair, makeup, and the costume is while playing a character, Sanya said, "It is so important as I think 60-70% is only the hair, make-up, and costumes and 30-40% is the psyche of the character and however, you want the character to look like. I think Dangal really helped, it was a great example and it was tried and tested."
She further added, "Cutting the hair and actually going through that whole process of training helped me a lot to get into Babita's shoes and to look and feel like a wrestler. Similarly, with Shakuntala Devi, I think the hair and the make-up helped me tremendously to feel and be like Anupama Banerji."
Finally, the Badhai Ho star said, "I don't take the credit at all as the credit goes to our costume HOD Niharika Basim Khan and makeup team which is Natasha Mathias. They have done a brilliant job and it's because of them I could play the character."
Even though Sanya rocks her curls most of the time, she does straighten and smooth out her hair on some days. Well, we all need a little change, don't we?
While we are all for you rocking your natural hair, trying out a new hairstyle has its own charm. Now is as good a time as any to experiment with funky styles and makeovers- if they turn out well you can FaceTime bae and show off and if they don't then it's not like you're leaving the house anyway.
