After their whirlwind romance, singer Ariana Grande and real estate businessman Dalton Gomez captivated the internet with their beautiful wedding in May 2021. But now the buzz has it that the 30-year-old singer and her 27-year-old husband might be heading for divorce after two years of marriage. Scroll down to know what happened!
Reportedly, the speculation started doing the rounds after Ariana was spotted without her wedding ring at Wimbledon over the weekend. The singer also shared a couple of her pictures from the match while sitting between British actors Jonathan Bailey and Andrew Garfield. It was further reported that Ariana in fact stopped wearing the ring before her public appearance at the Wimbledon. Now, we hear that the couple might have been living separately since January 2023. According to reports, the two even tried to reconcile but failed. However, they remain good friends and still talk on the phone.
The Actual Reason
According to grapevine, the pair were always by each other’s side during the covid lockdown. But, as soon as things went to normal, Dalton couldn’t keep up with the singer’s celebrity status. Reportedly, he got ‘taken aback’ by her popularity as he rarely had to deal with the paparazzi and her tight schedule during the lockdown.
While they were already facing a few challenges, things further escalated when Ariana left for England to begin the shooting for her upcoming movie, Wicked. As per various reports, Dalton’s career is super demanding and he can’t leave Los Angles often. Hence, once Ariana started filming for the movie, they were already in a long-distance relationship. They couldn’t make time for each other because of their scheduling issues. Eventually, they decided to part ways amicably but still want to remain good friends. And their close friends and family have also been supportive throughout this entire process.
While Ariana has not addressed these rumours yet, it was in Nov 2022 when the musician last posted a picture with Dalton. She has also deleted an Instagram post where she was showing off her stunning diamond and pearl ring.
While it is definitely heartbreaking to see another lovely couple parting ways, we just wish them happiness.
