Rana Daggubati took a solid panga by dissing a “big Bollywood heroine” at a recent event. The Baahubali star was praising his contemporary Dulquer Salman’s work ethic and patience when he took a sly dig at the said actress.
“He is a very polite person. He was doing a Hindi movie and the producers are my friends. The shoot was happening near my house. I went there to meet Dulquer. While he was sitting in the corner with the spot boy, a big Hindi heroine who was doing that movie was busy on the phone. That big heroine was engrossed in a phone conversation about shopping in London with her husband. Her lack of focus affected the shots. I couldn’t resist my anger to see the heroine wasting time. But Dulquer was calm,” Rana shared during the media interaction.
Videos from the event started going viral in no time and people were quick to assume Rana was talking about Sonam Kapoor who did Zoya Factor with Dulquer. His fans started trolling Sonam and attacked her for wasting the actor’s time. The vicious attacks got so out of hand that Rana had to issue a public apology. He recently took to X and shared a long message in which he apologised to Sonam and claimed he made all those comments only in a “light-hearted manner.”
However, looks like Sonam is quite miffed with Rana’s comments and is in no mood of accepting the apology. Shortly after his long tweet, she took to Instagram and posted a quote on her Instagram story. It read, “Small minds discuss people. average minds discuss events. Great minds discuss ideas.” The actress also hinted that “people” have been discussing “made-up” things about her.

NGL, Rana’s claims at the events do not match his tweet. It’s highly problematic if he just exaggerated things to make Dulquer look good. Here’s hoping Rana takes a lesson from this and uses his words more wisely in future!
