#GoodDeedOfTheDay: Girl Designs Visiting Card For Her Housemaid, Helps Her With Job Offers

How often do we truly feel thankful and express gratitude towards people who work for us? When was the last time you acknowledged their presence in your life? Well, a small gesture can certainly make a huge difference in their life.

Dhanashree Shinde, a digital marketing executive from Pune did exactly that. Her housemaid Geeta Kale, became an overnight internet sensation because of Dhanashree’s one good deed. She designed a visiting card for Geeta and posted it online.

Ever since the unique visiting card was posted on social media, Geeta’s phone hasn’t stopped buzzing. She has received thousands of messages on WhatsApp and people with work opportunities have been calling her nonstop.

“I don’t know what to do next but I will start looking for new work,” Geeta told Dhanashree and that’s when she decided to take the matter into her hands and putting her digital marketing skills to good use.

Dhanashree spoke to a media portal and revealed how she designed the card with Geeta sitting beside her, “I called her from the kitchen and asked her to sit beside me to note down the rates of her household chores. In the next two minutes, the card design was ready. To it, I added a small line saying ‘Aadhaar Card verified’ to let people gain confidence in her. I place the order for 100 cards and we received a bunch of cards after two days. I gave her the cards and asked her to distribute it to a few watchmen of nearby societies.”

More power to you, Dhanashree!

She further added, “I genuinely wanted her to get new work through the cards and instead it ended up going viral. Of course, she did receive calls and has fixed a few appointments in the coming days to start her new work.”

“The next day, when Geeta maushi came to work, she was on a call, speaking to someone from Mumbai. And that was just the beginning.”

The photo of the card got shared across multiple social media platforms and became viral for all the right reasons. This just shows the immense power of social media, right? And guess what, she did get a new job at last!

Isn’t this the best thing that you’ve read all day. We don’t know about you, but we cannot stop smiling.
