Just last year, fashion mogul Pernia Qureshi had us smitten with her Istanbul wedding. Pernia got hitched to longtime beau and Gits scion Sahil Gilani in a dreamy wedding. From her silver Élan outfit to the Sea of Marmara backdrop, every single detail was to die for.
We were left yearning for more after the fashion entrepreneur floated all those teasers on her social media handles looking like a million bucks and ecstatically happy. Well, seems like our prayers have been answered. Award-winning filmmakers, The Wedding Filmer, recently released a video from Pernia and Sahil’s wedding and we seriously couldn’t have asked for more.

The Grandeur Of Istanbul & Its Emotional Significance For The Couple
Breathtaking as it was, Pernia and Sahil chose Istanbul as their wedding venue for a special reason. The city represents what happens when two continents come together and create something as glorious as Istanbul. Similarly, temperament wise both Pernia and Sahil are two very different people yet gel beautifully together and share a great camaraderie. It’s nice to see that they zeroed on a wedding venue so poetically significant for their bond.
The Confluence Of Two Faiths
Pernia and Sahil got married as per both Hindu and Muslim customs thus making it a confluence of two faiths. In the video, Sahil can be seen sharing the reason behind it, “I am 50 percent Hindu and 50 percent Muslim, which is why for me it was extremely important to have both a nikah and pheras together.” It is rather endearing to see Pernia and Sahil fully emersed in both rituals as they partake in the ceremony.
Sahil’s parents can also be seen talking about how they have always respected each other’s religion and the only thing that’s important for the family is to be God-fearing.
Grow Old With Me: Pernia Taking About Sahil
In the video, Pernia can be seen talking about Sahil and how all she seeks from him is to be her friend for life. “I think I want just a friend for life. Someone who legally has to be my friend forever. Doing all the wonderful things with that person and having them as a companion when you are older,” she says and we are not crying you are!

Pernia surely made for an avant-garde bride with her floor-sweeping scalloped lehenga and kurta. And while the pictures were as resplendent as they could be, it is in the video that her bridal beauty hits you in all its glory. Right from the crystal and pearl embellishments of her custom attire to her tennis necklace, drop earrings, and off-beat maang tikka, everything glitters gloriously against the balmy reflection of the Sea of Marmara backdrop. We also cannot stop admiring just how beautifully the purple-lavender decor of Four Seasons, Istanbul compliments the bride.
