Telly star Rupali Ganguly has impressed millions with her role in Anupamaa. Her powerful acting is the reason behind the show’s roaring success. Recently we also heard reports that Rupali’s growing popularity made her the highest-paid TV actor but looks like that’s a slightly twisted fact.
According to recent reports, Bigg Boss host Salman Khan is currently the highest-paid person on Indian TV. Buzz has it that Salman will be charging up to Rs 25 crores per week for Bigg Boss OTT 2. Earlier, grapevine also suggested that Salman was making up to Rs. 1,000 crores from hosting the entire season of Bigg Boss 16. Later, it turned out to be false though.
Highest Earning People On TV
Reportedly, other hosts like Kapil Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, and Karan Johar are also making over Rs 1 crore per episode for their respective shows.
Till 2022, Rupali was charging 1.5 Lakhs per episode but doubled her fees to 3 Lakhs per episode earlier in 2023. Meanwhile, her co-stars from the show, Sudhanshu Pandey and Gaurav Khanna, are earning 1.5 lakhs per episode. Apart from Rupali, Hina Khan, Ronit Roy, and Ram Kapoor are amongst the highest-paid stars on TV. They reportedly charge more than 2 Lakhs per episode.
