Just a couple of days more and Bigg Boss OTT 2 will finally start streaming on Jio Cinema. The excitement for the OTT version of reality is a little extra this year considering Salman Khan has agreed to host it. And the BB makers just made it even more interesting. For the very first time in the show’s history, the makers have announced the name of all the confirmed contestants ahead of the Bigg Boss OTT 2 premiere and we get why. If you manage to score such a stellar cast, you have gotta flaunt it too!
The Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestants sound promising and looks like the reality show is all set to register yet another blockbuster season. Here, take a look at the list and you’d agree with us too:
Akanksha Puri
Akanksha Puri is a popular Indian TV actress and model who was recently seen in Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti. Akanksha won the show but did not marry Mika as she had promised to. In fact, both of them went back on whatever they said on the show and claimed that they are just friends. BB followers will also remember Akanksha as Paras Chhabra’s ex. She managed to make a lot of buzz during Bigg Boss 13 without even entering the house. It started with Akanksha supporting the actor and later disowning him after he got close to Mahira Sharma. She is a teekhi mirchi and it would be interesting to watch her in the show.
Jiya Shankar
Jiya Shankar is the big-ticket TV bahu who has all it takes to make it as a season finalist. She was last seen in Pishachini on ColorsTV. Jiya has a strong personality and we envision a Karishma Tanna-style stint.
Avinash Sachdev
Avinash has been in the TV industry for almost two decades now and is known for his roles in shows like Chotti Bahu, Qubool Hai, and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. He has been MIA for a couple of years and it would be nice to see him back into action.
Palak Purswani
Palak Purswani is a model and TV actress known for her role in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. But wait it gets interesting. Palak and Avinash Sachdev are exes! The two even had a roka in January 2021 before they decided to part ways within a year. The couple even called the relationship “toxic” in their media interactions and it would be interesting to watch them co-exist in the same house now.
Puneet Superstar
Surprising as it might sound, Puneet might prove to be the trump card this season. Puneet got popular ‘coz of his weird antics on social media and has an entire fandom (that calls him “Lord Puneet”) to support him. He’d surely be the atrangi character this season and we can’t wait to find out how he conducts himself in the BB house.
Abhishek Malhan
This is yet another contestant that has left people really excited for Bigg Boss OTT 2. Abhishek is a musician and YouTuber. He gained popularity by challenging people and giving prizes to those who completed them. He already has over 1 million followers on Instagram and is sure to get a lot of support from them during his BB journey.
Falaq Naaz
Yet another Sasural Simar Ka actress in Bigg Boss? We bet desi soap opera fans will watch the hell out of this season. Falaq is a very popular TV actress and that will surely work in her favour during the BB journey.
Aaliya
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s estranged wife, Aaliya has made a lot of headlines in the past couple of years. She is currently in the middle of a divorce with the actor and has made a lot of harassment allegations against him. She is entering the house right after announcing that she has found love again. Interestingly, the timing coincides with Nawaz’s film promotions and release.
Shruti Sinha
A dancer and actor by profession, Shruti is a reality show pro. She has already participated in shows like Roadies Xtreme and Ace Of Space 2 and even won Splitsvilla 11. In short, Shruti knows how reality show works. The best bit? She is not one of those irritating ex-Roadies contestants who don’t know how to behave in the BB house. She has a rather endearing persona and will surely bring fresh energy to the house.
Bebika Dhruve
Bebika Dhurve is a dentist and an Indian TV actress. She is known for her lead role as Devika Oberoi in Bhagyalaxmi and has a powerful personality. We are expecting her to be the most badass contestant this season.
Manisha Rani
With an Instagram followership of 4.4 million, Manisha is a very popular influencer. She is already being hailed as the “Archana Gautam” and “Shehnaz Gill” of Bigg Boss OTT 2 and that is something to say!
Wow, that is a really interesting lineup. This is going to be one hell of a season it seems!
