There is no denying how women don’t have it easy after they become mothers. And in a world where women are expected to balance raising their children and personal and career growth, it is heartwarming to see women standing up for women. Such is the story of these women police officers from Assam, who attended to infants while their mothers sat for an exam.
The visuals went viral on social media and the policewomen are being lauded for going beyond the call of duty.
Women Who Went Beyond Call Of Duty
Assam police took to twitter and shared their picture with the sweetest caption, “Mother is a verb. It’s something you do, not just who you are! Assam Police personnel in Darrang district taking care of the lil’ ones, while their mothers write the TET Exam.” Isn’t that amazing and aww-dorable?
The police officers were deployed outside Don Bosco High School in Mangaldoi, where quite a few women took part in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test, popularly referred to as TET. Now, isn’t this an exemplary display of motherhood? Aspirants were not even allowed to carry their pencil boxes as per examination guidelines, let alone their babies. As a result of which, the women aspirants who were mothers handed over their babies to two policewomen, who were more than happy to help.
The Teacher’s Eligibility Test or TET was conducted on November 10 all across the state of Assam and once cleared, the aspirants who sat to give the test will be eligible for another few rounds and ultimately get the opportunity to teach across different schools in Assam.
