Diwali Ready à la Mouni Roy

Continue reading to know more about the actress’s recent Indian wear attire before you go on to recreate a similar version for the festivities later this week.

An Elaborate Lehenga

Mouni Roy's Indian wear look-lehenga

In a throwback snapshot shared on Instagram, Mouni Roy was seen decked up in an outfit that looked straight out of a celebration. A vibrant red lehenga formed the actress’s choice of attire, accentuated by elaborately embroidered details on it. Comprising intricate threadwork, the attire was a testimony of impeccable craftsmanship. She teamed it with a matching blouse, a classic version that was accompanied by a solid-coloured dupatta featuring scattered bootis and embellishment on the borders.

Mouni Roy also used the post to give a shoutout to the local artisans and labels. “I feel most like myself in Indian outfits! I love em! Our weavers and artisans are our national treasures. They have been bringing us joy, colouring our lives and lighting up our homes for years. As we navigate through these challenging times, it is our responsibility to support them and our homegrown textile companies, establishments and designers,” she wrote.

Just in the nick of time, you can take cues from the 35-year-old’s attire to elevate your festive look this Diwali. Bring out the lehenga that you never get to wear and team it up with a blouse and dupatta of your choosing to give it a fresh spin. Here’s taking a look.

Jewellery & Makeup

On the jewellery front, the actress opted for an ornate maangtikka, a swipe of classic eyeliner and bright lip colour rounding off her festive-ready look. Before you ask, all you need to do is scroll down for similar finds to add to your existing collection
