The wait for Diwali is almost over but if you thought Bollywood celebrities were going to wait for the D-day to dish out festive looks, well, it looks like you have been proved wrong, not that there are any complaints! For one, you wouldn't have to wait till the eleventh hour in case you were still short on festive-dressing inspiration and that pretty much works in your favour (and ours). A case in point, and a really striking one at that, is Alaya F's latest outfit and TBH, we are all for it.
Festive Feels In Red Feat. Alaya F
Below, a look at Alaya's new-age Indian wear style that is well worth emulating for them festive goals this Diwali. Read on for more.
That the 22-year-old's Instagram presents a smorgasbord of fashion offerings is a fact well known by now; the actress also posts tutorials for her viewers from time to time, giving insights into her beauty regime and more. What's new, is her latest stint with festive wear. As someone whose penchant for easy-going yet striking outfits knows no boundaries (we are thinking of midriff-baring tops), the actress has lately been dipping her toes into some festive-worthy looks and as you may have guessed, we are onboard.
Following in the footsteps of her scene-stealing lavender lehenga from Shehla Khan's ateliers, Alaya F wore a modern version of the Indian wear attire, read a lehenga, by the same designer. In a series of snapshots shared on Instagram, the actress made a strong case for festive red, her dark-hued bustier incorporating a risqué neckline teamed with a matching lace dupatta. A brighter shade of the same colour was seen on the lehenga that came emblazoned with intricate details. With the dupatta draped on a side, the elaborate lace bustier and lehenga came together for a fail-safe festive-ready look, one worth taking cues from for Diwali. Should red be the colour you are planning on wearing this time, shop from our curated edit of different separates in it.
A scarlet lip colour and dark eyeshadow constituted the Bollywood star's makeup look, with her hair let down in loose curls for the shoot. A couple of bracelets aside, Alaya F's Indian wear look went easy on the jewellery.
Whether you are attending or hosting a close-knit Diwali party this week, opting for a similar piece of hand jewellery will elevate your festive look without overpowering your outfit. Not to forget that a minuscule bag always comes in handy. Find, listed below, all that you could use to gear up for the festivities.
