What’s been on my mind lately? Masaba Gupta‘s unique wedding fits! The fashion designer’s unconventional choices have my attention as I prepare to get married in June this year. I have been closely observing all her looks and she just gave me some more inspiration. Sharing breathtaking details of her reception look, Masaba elaborated on how she gave it an offbeat twist. Here’s why the fresh idea has made the South-Indian bride in me excited:
Keeping It Fresh & Fabulous
For a night filled with dance and merriment, Masaba trusted celebrity stylist Dolla Baruah to bring her vision to life. The stylist dressed Masaba in a stunning outfit from the Parisian fashion house, Alaïa. Her look comprised a figure-hugging full-sleeved top in black and a cerulean draped skirt. The look is perfect for brides who want to keep it statement albeit breezy for their pre or post-wedding festivities.
Here’s a midi-length version of Masaba’s statement skirt in slate grey:
Braided Beauty
Always one to start trends, Masaba chose to style her Western outfit with a long traditional braid. The hairdo was done to perfection by hairstylist Krishna Kami, who gave it a statement touch with a temple-inspired hairpiece. I am in love and can totally see it becoming a 2023 wedding trend. Here’s a similar pick if you wish to re-create the look:
And Some More Gold…!
Masaba styled her stunning braid with gorgeous gold earrings from Shri Paramani Jewels. I love how she opted for a chunky gold pair to contrast with her solid Western separates. Here is an equally interesting pair of earrings for those who are in love with the look:
Every single detail of Masaba’s reception look is to die for and I can’t wait to recreate it for my own shaadi. It will be fun!
