Sara Ali Khan’s Risque Looks & Other Bridal Inspo From Manish Malhotra’s Nooraniyat

Sara Ali Khan’s Risque Looks & Other Bridal Inspo From Manish Malhotra’s Nooraniyat

Designer Manish Malhotra launched his new couture film, called Nooraniyat, recently and it is a dream come true for every bride-to-be. Sara Ali Khan, as the Noor of the collection, captured every emotion of a liberated bride perfectly in the film.

Manish explained Nooraniyat with the most accurate caption and wrote, “A new composition that is balanced in its heterogeneous elements. Where everything exists. Our collection 2021 is developed on the ethos of tradition, but influenced by the present, the new world. Each garment proposes a new and individual visual expression and explores a possibility of a free monologue.”

The golden undertones, intricate detailing, and the amalgamation of modern silhouettes with traditional embroidery—there is plenty of bridal inspiration to be derived from Malhotra’s Nooraniyat collection. Scroll down to know all about it.

Sabyasachi’s signature blouses with plunging necklines have ruled the bridal collection for years now. However, Manish has given a new definition to risque bridal blouses for years to come now. These broad necklines are perfect picks for the new-age brides. What makes these pieces even more graceful are Malhotra’s signature floral zardozi, sequence motifs, and gotapatti work around the edges.

Manish Malhotra has finally declared what we knew all along—crop tops as bridal blouses are here to stay, and for long! Golden undertones feature time and again in Nooraniyat and this crop top blouse is no exception. The heavily embellished top has sitara trails and zardozi work all over it. The strategic pairing of the blouse with a black flare skirt makes this attire an ideal choice for any festive occasion.

Brides like Natasha Dalal have put white bridal lehengas on radar now. And Malhotra, obviously, took the trend a notch higher and gave it the most unique spin we could ever think of. Imagine a dreamy lehenga skirt with an opulent crop top along with a backless design. Now, that is definitely the look we are going to be digging for a very long time.

Capes & More

We would not be surprised if dupattas get replaced by capes in the near future. In fact, Manish has gone quite easy on dupattas in his new collection and focused highly on drapes. Ditching OTT blouses for crop tops, pairing them with heavily embroidered capes is def something that every bride-to-be must try.

There is a reason why it is believed that Malhotra’s designs shine brighter than the stars. You would imagine that one cannot fit so much intricacy, opulent embroidery, and bold colours into a space as small as a few inches but how wrong could you be! The maestro has not just displayed one of the finest examples of zardozi and sequined work but also given tips on how to pair them up with complementing OTT jewellery pieces. All of that, without looking extra at all.
