Kylie Jenner aka beauty mogul knows her angles, knows that the best selfies are clicked during the golden hour, and knows her Instagram filters really well. While she posts pictures of herself and her life pretty regularly, we rarely get to see what her real self looks like.
She has got a lot of backlash from fans saying that she promotes unhealthy beauty and body standards. Not just that, cosmetic surgeons have been said that the Kardashians are responsible for a phenomenon called ‘filtered skin’ where young women bring pictures of Kylie and the crew hoping that they would get skin just like them.
After years of people wondering what Kylie’s real skin texture is, she finally shared a filter-free photo of her skin texture, and we’re lauding her.
The mother of one took to social media to share a zoomed-in, post-glam picture of herself captioning it, “No filter baby.”
Everyone who thought pores, pimples, and skin texture was only their thing, think again. Even Kylie Jenner has em and isn’t afraid of showing them off. It’s amazing to see more and more celebrities accepting their real skin without a gazillion filters on and without their ring lights making their skin look seamless. Kudos!
Kylie’s fans received this filter-free avatar with lots of love and adoration and we’re hoping she’ll do this more often now. We also wish that this inspires fans to accept their natural skin in all its imperfect glory and show it off on social media. We can thus make a more inclusive and loving space where we accept our flawed skin and know that that’s how it was intended to be.
