Kriti Sanon’s night-time routine is simply amazing. The actress goes beyond surface-level skincare and dives into the smaller, more nuanced aspects of beauty. I say this because she ends her routine with a quick 10-second ritual that’s responsible for her long, luscious lashes and thick, bushy brows. You might want to check it out. Like, now!
What’s Kriti’s Little Beauty Ritual
Kriti simply applies a little bit of Castor Oil and Olive Oil on the brows and lashes before going to bed. All she does is dab some on after she has cleansed and moisturised her skin. It’s that simple. This comes in right at the end of her routine; after she has slathered on some lip balm and spot-treated the skin with pimple patches.
But What Do These Oils Do?
Castor Oil has ultra-moisturising properties that encourage the growth of your hair follicles. The oil even adds a lustre to them. Some studies suggest that it contains a compound called Ricinoleic Acid, an omega-9 essential fatty acid, that can prevent breakage and loss. Even the Vitamin E in Castor Oil is believed to repair damage to follicles and conditions them from the inside out. The Organic Harvest Hair Fall Control Hair Oil: Castor Oil is absolutely amazing on the skin and hair.
Olive Oil, on the other hand, is rich in fatty acids like oleic acid, linoleic acid, and palmitic acid. These have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-bacterial properties.
Oleic regulates the production of sebum in your body. This keeps bacteria at bay. Linoleic promotes the turnover of cells and prevents your pores from clogging while palmitic softens and hydrates your lashes and brows.
The antioxidant properties fight free-radical damage and delay the onset of greying and breakage. They together maintain the health of the brows and lashes. These oils are more preventative than anything else. Try out the St Botanica Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil ASAP!
How Do You Apply Them Correctly?
Like Kriti, simply massage the oil onto the brows and along the lashes. Just ensure that they’re not entering your eyes; though safe to use, you must be careful regardless. For easier application, try dipping a Q-tip or spoolie into the oil/s and coating your lashes with it instead of using your fingers. You do this every night and wash it off the following morning.
This process won’t take more than 10 seconds of your time. Thanks, Kriti!
