Remember when we told you about Suhana Khan’s big Bollywood launch just a few days ago? We’ve been keeping an eye out for more details and finally have something to share with you guys. It looks like another star kid joined the star cast! Any guesses? It’s Khushi Kapoor, y’all! It seems like Janhvi Kapoor’s younger sister is all set to debut with Suhana in Zoya Akhtar’s next untitled movie and we’re excited AF!
All About The Movie
Here’s what we know about the film so far. Zoya’s special project is based on the iconic comic book series Archie, and will stream on digital giant Netflix. How exciting! Netflix already has a teenage drama series, Riverdale, based on the popular series. But, it’ll be interesting to watch what twist the Gully Boy director has in store for us.
According to the grapevine, Zoya has been on the lookout for young actors to play the roles of Betty, Veronica, Archie, and Jughead in her project. And it looks like Suhana and Khushi are all set to bring Betty and Veronica to life. Although, it’ll be interesting to watch who plays who. We think Khushi would be best suited for the role of the rich heiress, and Suhana would make a fantastic Betty.
But, What About Archie & Jughead?
If rumour mills are to be believed, then Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, will be playing the part of Archie in the movie. However, another report suggests that Agastya Nanda might be playing the same role. Guess we’ll have to wait and watch which star kid gets to play the iconic character.
Movie Release
It turns out that the film is in the nascent stage at the moment. The final paperwork will be done once Suhana and her father, Shah Rukh Khan, give their approval to the script for launch. Here’s hoping we get a release date ASAP!
Both Suhana and Khushi, have been making waves for quite a while now. Even though they haven’t had their big break yet, their Instagram accounts have amassed thousands of followers.
Earlier, there were multiple reports that suggested that Khushi was getting launched by her father, Boney Kapoor. However, Boney rubbished all rumours. While talking to a leading daily, he explained, “I would want someone else to launch Khushi, because I am her father and one tends to get indulgent.” It makes total sense, if you ask us!
We cannot wait to watch the two of them light up our screens soon!
