From people claiming to spot her alleged baby bump to congratulating her via social media comments, the netizens are almost sure that Karishma would soon be a mom! But is any of it true? Well, the Baal Veer actress just put an end to all the speculations by finally opening up on the topic.
In a recent interaction with a leading daily, Karishma was asked about the weirdest rumour she’s ever heard about herself. The actress replied to this by sharing how people once assumed she was pregnant just because she had a full tummy and was rubbing her belly. Karishma said, “That I am pregnant. I was just outside a restaurant, and I just touched my belly because I had eaten a lot. Media was like ‘I think she is pregnant because she is rubbing her belly’. I am like ‘God, please yaar have some f***ing life‘. I was shocked. Wo khaake humlog karte hai na (touches her belly), I just did that. I just touched my belly, I rubbed it once. That’s it. So, this is the weirdest scoop.”
Well, this isn’t the first time Karishma had to clear the air about her pregnancy rumours! When asked to comment on the same a while ago, Karishma shared how she would scream it to the world when it actually happens. “If it happens, I will scream and say that yes, I am pregnant. But what is this speculating. That was weird,” said the actress. She also shared how playing the role of a journalist in her upcoming movie Scoop gave her a better understanding of media and journalism. Karishma said, “I know if they have written something about me, it’s their job. When I was preparing for the role and interacting with journalists, I realised it is such a tedious job. There is so much – writing, investigating, researching, and understanding the story. I have a lot of respect for journalists after playing one. I hadn’t put so much mind to it earlier.”
Well, this is exactly why we shouldn’t ever jump to conclusions before hearing it from the horse’s mouth. Karishma Tanna is not pregnant. We can all move on!
