When it comes to Bollywood parties, no one does it better than Karan Johar! The filmmaker is known for his OTT bashes that have it all—starry guest list, stunning decor and crazy themes. So, now that KJo’s 50th birthday is right around the corner, we were waiting to get an update about Karan’s plans for the day.
A little birdie just told us all about Karan’s crazy party plans and we are already excited about the pictures! The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director has booked Yash Raj Studios for his birthday and dare we say it is going to be a very filmy celebration.
According to the grapevine, Karan will be bringing in his 50th birthday in midst of grand sets and glamour. In fact, the filmmaker has got Amrita Mahal, who has worked on creating the sets of films like Kalank, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and the soon to be released Brahmastra and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, to take charge of the birthday bash.
A source close to KJo shared, “It’s a theme party and the invitation sent out to all the attendees has a mention of the same. It’s going to be a ‘black and bling’ theme for the bash.”
Looking Back At Karan Johar’s Unforgettable 49th Birthday
Last year, Karan pulled all the stops for his 49th birthday bash and has organised a star-studded birthday party in Alibaug. The party saw Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Neha Dhupia, Ananya Panday and other Bollywood A-listers in attendance. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, KJo planned a two-day affair to reduce the guest count and managed to pull off a grand gala.
We can bet that Karan’s 50th birthday party to going to be a step up from anything he has done before. NGL, we are going to stay glued to our phone screens on the day for the pictures!
