‘Coz bad hair days are the freakin’ worst!

We’ve all gone through phases where we just couldn’t care less about our hair. We’ve done some serious damage to our mane by using heating tools without using heat protectant spray before, or not oiling or conditioning our strands enough. What was the result? Dry and damaged locks. Well, if you’re part of this crew too then we’re sharing some ways in which you can improve your hair’s health ASAP.

Taking care of our hair is a really important part of our beauty regimen. So, here are some super easy ways that will help you take care of damaged hair.

Chop Off The Length

The best way to tackle extremely damaged hair is by chopping it off. After all, ’tis the season to flaunt shorter hair! We can understand that it may be painful for some of you, especially if it took you years to grow it out but if it is damaged, this may be the best solution. Go to the hairdresser and ask him to chop off the dry and damaged parts so that it grows out healthier.

Twist And Snap

A world without split-ends? Where do we sign up?

Another reason why most of us opt to get rid of our hair length is because of split-ends. Well, not anymore. To get rid of split-ends easily, try this- section your hair into two parts and then divide them into two or three smaller sections.

Take one of the tiny hair section, twist your hair and then run your fingers up & down on it. Using a pair of scissors, carefully cut the hair ends that are sticking out. Keep on doing this till you’ve gone through all your hair. Do this 2-3 times a week and we bet you’ll be amazed how soft your hair starts to feel. Just make sure you treat your mane to a hydrating hair conditioner after doing so.

Hydrating Hair Masks For The Win

Unless your hair is damaged without repair, there’s still some hope.

Treat your mane to hydrating hair masks at least 2-3 times a week to improve your hair growth and add shine. Add a few drops of essentials oils like peppermint, rosemary, and tea tree to really enhance the process.

A DIY Hair Mask That Works Wonders

The first signs of hair damage can be seen on the ends of your hair and that is because they are the furthest from the scalp. If your hair ends have been feeling super dry lately, then give this #InstaApproved hair mask a try today.

You’ll Need:

  • Olive oil
  • Honey
  • Bowl

Step 1: In a bowl, add 2 tbsp. olive oil, 1 tbsp. honey and mix well.

Step 2: Put the bowl in a microwave for ten seconds(not a second more) to heat it up a little and then apply it to your hair strands. Make sure you are careful while doing this.

Do this after every 2 days and you’ll be amazed by how soft your hair ends feels. If you have colour treated hair, then you definitely need to try this over the weekend!

Another great way to bring back shine is to wash your mane with fermented rice water.

Follow A Dedicated Hair Care Routine

Most of us just wash our hair and condition it and call it a day! Trust us, our hair deserves so much more.

Regular oiling will not only keep it feeling healthy but also make it stronger. Choose a sulphate and paraben-free shampoo, condition your hair regularly and always apply a hair serum to protect your hair.
