I love watching movies! I am constantly hooked on to my various streaming platforms to watch the latest ones online. And I make sure to catch at least one over the weekend. But I often lose track of the best ones and miss out on some really good names, which is why I decided to make a complete list of Hollywood movies of 2019. While it is hard to miss Bollywood movies in a city like Delhi, where everyone is a die-hard fan, the English movies often take a miss.
So in order to keep a track of all the upcoming Hollywood movie releases in India, I have made the ultimate calendar. Complete with the release dates and the streaming platforms, so you never skip a Friday release!
1. Escape Room

4. Replicas

Summary: The story of a man who loses his family in a tragic car accident and clones them because he can’t bear the grief of losing them. Trouble begins when the clones become self-aware and the government states that it is illegal to clone humans.

5. Glass
Release Date: 18th January 2019
Genre: Drama, Fantasy
Starring: James McAvoy, Anya Taylor‑Joy, Bruce Willis, Sarah Paulson, Samuel L. Jackson
Summary: M. Night Shyamalan is back this year, with sequels to his other two successful psychological thrillers of this series, Unbreakable and Split. It is confusing as you follow these anti-superheroes with split personalities, but if you watch the series in a row, it all falls together.

Summary: This Netflix original caters to the post-apocalyptic movie lovers. Earth has been rendered unhabitable and humans are moving to one of Jupiter’s moons. But one scientist stays back to fix what has been destroyed and the movie follows his journey.

Summary: Deemed to be the best thriller of 2019, Serenity follows the story of a woman who wants her abusive husband murdered. But everything in the trailer suggests otherwise, so what is the truth? This movie is for all those Gone Girl lovers out there.

Summary: Another Netflix original, Polar feels like a superhero movie but is actually the story of an assassin who has retired but can’t seem to get rid of his company. This fast-paced film is a great end to a Friday night.

Summary: Imagine Percy Jackson, but British! This modern-day adaptation of the Arthurian legend is a fun-filled movie packed with strong performances. It follows a pack of kids who are all set to beat a sorceress from the past.

10. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile

Summary: Zac Effron plays the role of the infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy who murders and decapitates women whilst playing a perfect boyfriend and husband. The movie was criticised for how charming Ted was portrayed to be, instead of the cold-blooded murderer he was.

11. Miss Bala

Summary: Finally an action film that does not objectify the lead actress or turn her into a superhero. Miss Bala follows the story of a young girl who gets caught up in the crossfire of a drug cartel when a dirty cop hands her over to the gang leader.
