We are approaching the festive season and we are absolutely ready to take out our Indianwear. While we are still doing that we need a great look to go with the finery. Instagram is where I go whenever I need some makeup and hair inspo and of course when I am in dire need of memes. But this story is not about that.
I just refreshed my explore feed and there she was. Kajol, looking fresh and sharp with her glowy skin and kohl-rimmed eyes. This is the perfect look that would go with any and every outfit, I have planned through the week. So let’s break it down!
Makeup
Kajol’s base is kept pretty natural and minimal with a glowy finish. I suggest putting on a good dose of liquid highlighter after your primer, on the high points of your face, before you put on a medium coverage foundation. If you’re planning on going bold with the kajal, then make sure you keep the rest of your face bare.
Another hack to intensify your kohl is to use a gel eyeliner and then top it off with a jet black eyeshadow. That will intensify the colour and make your eyeliner smudge proof without having to go over it again and again with your kajal pencil. Add loads of mascara to your top lashes. Finish with a nude lip (like Essence Longlasting Lipstick Nude) and you’re good to go!
Hair
A sleek bun has always been a crowd favourite with Indian wear. This hairstyle is especially comfortable for the nights when you’re planning on going out and dancing the garba. It will keep the hair off your face and highlight your makeup.
Here’s another hack you could use if you’re planning to try this hairstyle out. To get the ideal hairline like Kajol, fill in the bald spots with some temporary colour or similar coloured eyeshadow. Set that and the flyaways with hairspray and you’re good for the night!
