The Gigi-Hadid-Varun Dhawan controversy at the recent NMACC gala has left people talking. They have been calling out the Bhediya actor for making the supermodel uncomfortable by lifting and kissing her on the stage. Recently, Gigi herself tried to put an end to it by posting about it on her ‘Gram story.
The Next In Fashion host posted a pic of Varun holding her on the stage and wrote, “Varun Dhawan making my Bollywood dreams come true.” This did calm down the critics but not for too long. In the latest turn of events, I hear Gigi deleted her story defending Varun hours before it could automatically disappear.
A Reddit page pointed out what had happened. Soon after, everyone was discussing how Gigi’s story was a mere PR cleanup. Here are some of the comments:

Wow, this seems to have taken a twisted turn. Meanwhile, Varun has been defending himself on social media. He recently replied to a tweet and claimed that the whole act was planned in advance. Varun wrote, “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things. Good morning.”
Well, you know what might help a little here? Varun humbly addressing the issue instead of leaving arrogant replies on social media. Just saying!
