Farzi, starring Shahid Kapoor, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video and has created quite a stir. The series follows Sunny, an artist, who gets involved in the criminal world when he decides to forge banknotes with his brother-in-crime Firoz.
While Shahid’s portrayal of Sunny is spot on, the internet can’t stop gushing about Firoz, played by Bhuvan Arora.

Upbringing
Bhuvan Arora was born into a navy family in Delhi. He went to Naval Public School in Visakhapatnam and did his master’s degree from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. After completing his acting diploma, he dabbled in a little street theatre in Delhi before finally starting his career as an actor in 2013. He is currently 36 years old.
Previous Work
In 2013, Bhuvan debuted as a supporting actor in the film Shuddh Desi Romance. He has also appeared in films such as Tevar, in 2015; Bank Chor, in 2017; and The Test Case in 2018. Apart from acting, he has done many modelling assignments with well-known agencies.

Bhuvan was asked to audition for the role of Firoz, but because the audition script was too short, he assumed it was a minor part and declined. However, the casting crew persuaded him that it was an important role and forced him to audition. The audition was forwarded to Raj and DK (the creators of the show). They liked the take, but they weren’t completely sold.
They later saw one of the ads he did for Flipkart, in which he is seen speaking really fast. It was this that convinced the creators to cast Bhuvan as Firoz. Check out the ad here:
Personal Life
Bhuvan tied the knot to his long-term girlfriend, Vaneja Gupta who is a designer, in December 2021. The couple had the most dreamy wedding in Udaipur. Check out the video:
A Die-Hard SRK Fan!
Bhuvan is truly, madly, and deeply obsessed with Shah Rukh Khan! He has seen all of the superstar’s films and draws a lot of inspiration from him. His lifelong ambition is to work with SRK once and his favourite actress is Alia Bhatt.
Hobbies
Bhuvan’s hobbies include working out at the gym and paragliding. He loves watching cricket and even plays the sport in his spare time.
His Most Praised Performance Before Farzi
Bhuvan received the highest praise for his debut performance in Shuddh Desi Romance before being recognised for his role in Farzi. He played Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend in the film and went on to appear in a number of shows and films after that.
Let’s hope we see more of Bhuvan in future and that his dream of working with SRK becomes a reality! No one could have played Firoz better than him. Period.
