Heard of fidget spinner as a stress buster. Googled it. Bought it. Enjoyed it. Quite addictive!
Heard of fidget lip balm. Again, googled it, found it… Nice thought, creative and pretty ergonomic!
But ‘Fidgetiddies’? Now it’s been taken too far!
Manuela Torres-Orejuela, a UCLA grad revealed how she made nipple pasties out of fidget spinners and it’s crazy! We thought it’s a trend – it’ll stay for a while and then it’ll die down. But this 22-year-old came up with a fidget spinner for nipples…for which she has already received more than 23,000 likes and over 9,000 retweets.
How did she come up with this weird idea, though?
‘I have ADHD and anxiety so fidget spinners genuinely bring me peace and joy. I even decorated my graduation cap with fidget spinners for my UCLA graduation last month, and it was a big hit with kids. Since I used Velcro to make the spinners stick on my cap, I ended up playing around with other places to stick them. Since I am a gender studies major and a vocal body-positive feminist on my social media, it came naturally to me to put them on my breasts as an ironic and playful way to subvert patriarchy.’ Manuela shared with Glamour.
We understand that people are trying out new things with fidget spinners, and we appreciate the effort and encourage creative thoughts that go into it. But a gadget spinning on nipples – yay or nay – we can’t decide. What do you think?
