From acquiring designer brands to hosting red-carpet events, the Ambanis seem to be determined to take over the fashion world. No complaints as long as it translates to two stellar fashion events every month! Looks like, it has already started. After the much-talked-about MNACC launch event, Jio Studios unveiled its content slate recently. Just like all other Ambani shindigs, it was a star-studded event and looks were served!
Here are five looks that left us mighty impressed + five that left us high and dry:
Red Carpet Wonders!
Yami Gautam
I will never not have amazing things to say about someone who knows how to pull off a saree on the red carpet. Yami’s look here is 10/10. I love the tonal ivory saree and how it has been styled with minimal hoops and that dramatic hairdo. Fab!
Sobhita Dhulipala
Sobhita is a red-carpet marvel who always delivers. The recent was Jio Studios event was no different. Sobhita walked the red carpet in a stunning Gucci pantsuit. Few can make the cropped blazer work like the actress did by styling it with flared pants and a G-string. She perfectly finished off her look with silver shoulder dusters. Damn glamm but not for the weak-hearted!
Shraddha Kapoor
At this point, Shraddha should just be declared the queen of drapes. MyGlamm’s vivacious brand ambassador graced the Jio Studios event in a red-hot pre-draped saree. She styled her sequinned drape with a plunge-neck matching blouse. The look was completed with wavy hair and minimal makeup. Effortless and how!
Shanaya Kapoor
Gotta admire Shanaya’s commitment to blingy minis even though she might be running the risk of overdoing it. The turquoise hue has my approval.
Neha Dhupia
The world has been grossly underestimating Neha Dhupia’s fashion game. But it is impossible to ignore this look. The colour, the drama, the silhouette—everything is giving!
Fashion Fails!
Kriti Sanon
A lot of actresses are beginning to look similar at this point and the blame goes to their bare-bones styling. Just wearing glittery co-ords is simply not it and that’s why Kriti’s look is a miss for me!
Mouni Roy
Speaking of done-to-death co-ord sets, Mouni could have done so much better!
Bhumi Pednekar
Breaks my heart to put Bhumi on this list after her stellar wins at the NMACC gala. Her ill-fitted pantsuit just doesn’t make the cut.
Huma Qureshi
What is happening with Huma’s look? Why is she wearing that horribly constructed nude dress?? Who suggested to layer it up with a black blazer that is doing the opposite of complementing the dress??? Also, what purpose are those boots serving in this look???? So many questions!
Sanya Malhotra
Sanya’s look is simply too plain to make an impact. The one-shoulder black gown feels dated and that silver choker isn’t doing it any favours!
Here’s hoping that the Ambanis keep these red-carpet events coming!
