It feels like just yesterday when Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar left us spellbound with their dreamy wedding pictures. The couple kept the celebration intimate with just their close friends and family in attendance. Truth be told we often find ourselves scrolling through the couple’s Instagram handles and swooning over their wedding snaps.
Recently, we got to know about Farhan and Shibani’s proposal story and it is every bit beautiful as their shaadi! In an interview, Farhan revealed he proposed to his lady love during their Maldives vacay. During the same interaction, Shibani spilled the beans about the grand proposal and said, “I had no idea it was going to happen. We had not even discussed it. But this is again Farhan. When he decides something, he does it. I was never the kind who wanted to get married and have all that jazz. But when Farhan asked, it just felt right at the moment and after the initial shock, I said yes”

It All Started With A Reality Show & DMs
Farhan and Shibani’s love story is as adorable as it can get. The two met at a reality television show, called I Can Do That, where the model was a contestant and the Toofan actor was the host. Sparks flew instantly and Farhan slid into the model’s DMs to ask her out on a date.
In a conversation with a leading magazine, Shibani shared their initial dates were quite awkward and she didn’t believe that they will ever end up together. However, they started chatting via messages and that helped them to bond. The Top Model India star said, “It took time for him to emote, communicate and open up. Of course, once we started dating properly, things were different. We both got to see sides of each other that we probably wouldn’t have imagined.”
During the 2020 lockdown, the lovebirds moved in together and ever since then we have become a fan of their adorable PDA moments on Instagram.
