While awkward or catastrophic first dates may not sound as romantic as hitting it off right away, there is something kind of magical about two people taking a chance and giving it another shot. Not convinced? One of our fave celebrity couples had a not-so-great start and they’re happily married today! We’re talking about Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about his first date with Shibani.
While talking to a leading daily, the actor shared that their first date was awkward AF. He said, “It was very awkward. Shibani tells people how she could hear the sound of the cutlery cutting on the plate. It was so quiet. I wasn’t talking at all and she had run out of all topics in her head. I didn’t say anything.” Farhan also mentioned that for him a perfect date is where the other person does all the talking.
We’re not sure if we agree with his idea of a perfect date, but we’re so glad they took a chance and went for a second date. For the unversed, Farhan and Shibani first met each other on the sets of a television show, titled I Can Do That. It was hosted by Farhan and the latter was a contestant on the show. The two hit it off and started dating each other. The popular jodi soon made their relationship Insta official and got married in February this year. Recently, in another interview, Farhan had opened up about life post shaadi and said that since the two have been together for years, it doesn’t feel any different. He mentioned that being married does put an official tag to it, but their relationship has always been great and it’s just the same as before. Aww..how sweet is this!
Well, don’t know about you, but we find their love story quite interesting. It reminds us of the popular saying that sometimes when are meant to happen, they happen no matter what. Team #Shibhan forever!
