These Moisturisers Are The Secret To Alia, Deepika & More Celebs’ Glowing Skin

These Moisturisers Are The Secret To Alia, Deepika & More Celebs’ Glowing Skin

I’ve done some (read: a lot of) stalking, and I’ve finally cracked the code to B-Town’s best-kept secret. I’m talking about all the stars that manage to maintain their glow from the start to the end of a hectic workday. The fresh-faced, candle-lit glow that most of us envy is not out of reach.

It’s simple. They moisturise their skin religiously, and with specific products. Lucky for you, I’ve put together moisturisers that they swear by.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Both P.C and D.P have something in common. It’s their love for The Augustinus Bader Rich Cream. This lush, buttery-soft moisturiser delivers shots of hydration and anti-ageing benefits to the skin. It tackles lines, wrinkles, and sagging head-on while countering dryness.

Though this is a saviour for dry, dehydrated skin, keep in mind that the richer a cream, the heavier it might feel on the skin. Those with oily, acne-prone might benefit from a light, gel-like formula instead.

Pro tip: This works exceptionally well under makeup for a dewy, hydrated base. You can layer some on before going in with your foundation.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika loves the 82°E Ashwagandha Bounce Rejuvenating Moisturiser, and for a reason. It contains Ashwagandha as well as Sodium Hyaluronate. Ashwagandha is an Ayurvedic ingredient that enhances your skin’s ability to fight off stressors in the environment. The latter is a derivative of Hyaluronic Acid that absorbs deeper into your skin for hydration. The result is a healthy-looking glow that stays with you for the rest of the day.

Alia Bhatt

Alia’s beloved In My Defense by d’you is a cult-favourite for a reason. This one contains ceramides that repair and fortify the barrier of your skin by hydrating it. The stronger your barrier, the healthier your skin. Just layer this lightweight, non-greasy formula on, and you’ll find that it calms and soothes the skin instantly. This one’s vegan as well as cruelty-free.

Pro tip: This one contains 20x more ceramides than normal.

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Sonam Kapoor’s fix for irritated, sensitive skin is the Bioderma Cicabio Arnica+. This moisturiser contains skin-soothing ingredients like zinc, Antalgicine, apigenin, and arnica. Arnica and Apigenin prevent pigmentation and inflammation while zinc fights bacteria and Antalgicine reduces discomfort as well as the urge to scratch your skin.

Pro tip: It’s non-comedogenic and un-fragranced, making it ideal for those with sensitive, reactive skin that scars and pigments easily.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor has previously mentioned the NYKAA SKINRX Vitamin C Illuminate + Day Moisturizer with SPF 15 as her go-to moisturiser. This one’s the finest pick-me-up for anyone dealing with dullness, hyperpigmentation and spots. Thanks to Vitamin C, it treats these concerns effectively. It even contains Amla, an ingredient that delays the onset of premature ageing. Kakadu Plum, another source of Vitamin C, further enhances your glow and boosts your skin’s radiance.

Pro tip: It’s equipped with an SPF of 15 to protect your skin from sun-induced damage.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena’s choice of moisturiser is economical and basic. The actress has always bullet-proofed her routine with the simple Cetaphil Moisturising Cream. This derm-recommended formula is a boon for dry, irritated skin. It quickly infuses your skin with a boost of moisture for 48 hours straight and relieves dryness. This is thanks to Niacinamide, pro-vitamin B5, and glycerin. Niacinamide treats oiliness and pigmentation while glycerine and pro-vitamin B5 hydrate your skin from the inside out and improves the resilience of your barrier.

Pro tip: This one’s hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic; making it perfect for those with dryness as well as sensitivity.

I know I’m adding these to my cart ASAP.
