Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

From Parvati in Devdas to Saba in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Aish has given us some of the most iconic characters. But did you know Aish almost lost her life while shooting for her 2004 film Khakee? As per the reports, Aish was driving a jeep for one of the scenes and apparently lost control of the vehicle. Following this, she was thrown off the vehicle and got severely injured. The actress was then rushed to the hospital immediately.

Salman Khan

Salman Khan’s Tere Naam was one of the most talked about movies back in the day. How can we forget his iconic hairstyle that had his own fan base? But Salman also had a near-death experience on the sets of Tere Naam. Reportedly, Salman was supposed to walk in front of a train. So while shooting for the same, the actor got so lost in his character that he failed to notice how close the train got to him on the tracks. Luckily, one of his co-actors pushed him away from the track and saved his life.

Amitabh Bachchan

In March 2023, Amitabh Bachchan updated his fans about an injury he sustained while shooting for Project K. But it wasn’t the first time that the star got injured on a film’s set. In 1982, Amitabh got seriously injured while shooting for Coolie. It happened when his co-star, Puneet Issar, accidentally punched him too hard in his gut. Amitabh lost consciousness and his lower abdomen had started bleeding. He was then rushed to the hospital where he was hospitalised for 59 days. He was even declared clinically dead for a couple of minutes.

Amitabh once revealed, “I went into almost a haze and a coma-like situation. Within five days of coming into Breach Candy, I had another surgery and didn’t come out of that one for a very, very long time and I was clinically dead for a couple of minutes. Then Dr. Wadia, who looked after me and is an absolute life-saver, just said “I’m going to take a last chance” and he started pumping cortisone/ adrenaline* injections into me one after another almost, 40 ampules of it, with the hope that something would happen and then I got revived”

Hrithik Roshan

I still remember how excited I was to watch Hrithik Roshan as Krrish in 2006. The movie was everything that I ever imagined. But little did I know that Hrithik had a major accident and he got lucky to escape death. Reportedly, Hrithik was supposed to dangle from a wire on a high-rise building in Singapore. But in the middle of the shoot, the wire snapped and Hirthik fell 50 ft down. Luckily he got saved when he landed on canopies that were set up because of the rain. Talking about it, Hritik once shared, “I was skydiving to my death until I fell on a six-foot-long canopy of a shop that was out because of the slight drizzle. The canopy had iron rods. But I missed those rods too. What do I say? I guess the right word to desc would be ‘jadoo’ (magic).“

Lara Dutta

Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Lara Dutta starrer Andaaz became a massive hit in 2003. But many people don’t know that Lara Dutta almost drowned while shooting for a song. According to various reports, Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta were shooting for a song in Cape Town, South Africa. While they were standing on a rock and shooting was still on, a high tide hit the rock and Lara lost her balance. She accidentally slipped and got swept away by the waves. Unfortunately, she didn’t even know how to swim at the time. She was actually rescued by Akshay Kumar who immediately dived in to save her.

Ayesha Takia

Before quitting showbiz, Ayesha Takia gave us some of the most memorable films, including Dor. While shooting for a scene, Ayesha Takia almost got hit by a train. Talking about the incident, Ayesha once shared, “My God, that was a really scary incident! The shooting was being done at a village platform, which was as good as plain land. I was running on the platform and all of a sudden I lost my balance and fell. I was terrified when I saw the train moving by me fast, as I rolled on the ground. Immediately, Nagesh and Elahi ran to rescue me. Nagesh said that he wanted to jump out of the window to save me! I got some bruises. Later, I took an injection and began shooting again.”
