SPOTTED! Blair Waldorf on the streets of New York trying to pull off Jenny Humphrey’s blonde mop of hair! That’s right, Leighton Meister known for her iconic role as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl has a blonde update. Was it because she wanted to copy bestie Serena’s luscious golden locks or ‘coz Chuck always had a thing for blondes?
(I’ve always wanted to talk like Gossip Girl and this was so satisfying. That’s one hell of a blast though!)
Leighton Meester was spotted on April 3rd with blonde hair and checked pants. Trust me when I say this, I was unable to recognise her. It was almost as if Taylor Momsen got a haircut and decided to go rogue. The news was confirmed when Meester herself posted an image on her Instagram page, thanking the hairstylist and his assistants.
TBH, I’d never thank my hairstylist if he would do this to me. I’ve been a Blair fan throughout GG but this is a beauty faux pas. How will any of the headbands look that good on her as they did before? The diamonds of her crown will be dulled by her extra shiny, hurting the eye, blonde hair! She might finally understand not everyone can be like Serena Van Der Woodsen, even if you dye your hair of that colour.
Since 2017, celebrities are having a ball trying to experiment with their hair. While Lisa Haydon went platinum blonde and looked stunning, Kylie Jenner showed us her room full of wigs on Snapchat so we know there are no surprises there.
Kudos to Queen B for stepping out of her comfort zone and experimenting with her hair.
Too bad it didn’t work out.
