NGL, ever since the drop of the Brahmāstra trailer, the Internet has been buzzing with excitement! After several delays, director Ayan Mukerji released the much-awaited trailer, leaving fans hella thrilled about the upcoming sci-fi flick. But, it seems like the journey of the film was not all smooth sailing.
Spilling the beans, Ayan spoke to a leading daily and revealed, “When I started the prep for Brahmāstra, Ranbir was offered Sanju. He was supposed to start prep with me, but he chose to start Sanju first. I was so angry. I was happy that he was working with Raju Hirani but what about my project?”
Further, Ayan spoke about how he now understands why Ranbir took the right decision by prioritising Sanju. “But in hindsight, I’m glad Ranbir chose to work on Sanju because, a few years later, Sanju was shot, edited, and ready for release and my pre-production hadn’t even completed. Had Ranbir waited for me, it would’ve been too long a wait.”
Well, we’re just happy to know that Ayan is not angry with Ranbir anymore! Brahmāstra is set to hit the screen on September 9, and we can’t wait for this smashing pairing to deliver another blockbuster!
On the work front, Ayan is said to be preparing for the sequel of Brahmāstra. Ranbir, on the oher hand, is working on several projects, including Shamshera directed by Karan Malhotra and Andaz Apna Apna 2.
