Right after announcing her maternity fashion line, Alia Bhatt stunned her fans with yet another jaw-dropping look yesterday. If you think that glamm and pregnancy wear cannot go hand-in-hand, then Alia is here to prove you wrong! The mommy-to-be is inspiring all the new mamas, not only by serving stellar fashion looks but also with her work, both on and off screen. On Sunday, the actress made an OTT appearance in a bronze cape gown and while we love her in it, we’re on the fence about the outfit.
The bronze gold beauty was custom-made by the famous designer duo — Gauri and Nainika. The gown featured a plunging V-neckline, a cinched belt under the bust, a floor-grazing skirt, and a sweeping cape attached to the shoulders that exuded fairytale-like vibes. The metallic ensemble came replete with pleats and the flowy silhouette made it a comfortable choice for Alia’s baby bump.
Although we love how the gown looks on Alia and how it so beautifully cradles her bump, aren’t we just done with cape sleeves now? We also think metallics are a tad bit yesterday but we gotta give it to stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania for making the overall look stand out.
Even though we’re not completely satisfied with the Gangubai Kathiawadi star’s outfit, her accessories and makeup definitely make up for it. Alia accessorised it with minimal jewels from Bulgari, including stacked bracelets, statement diamond gold rings, and dangling conical earrings. As for the makeup, the diva went with her classic nude lip shade, mascara-laden lashes, subtle smokey eyes, blushed cheeks, and flawless contouring.
