Looks like the ongoing Alia Bhatt vs Deepika Padukone debate on Twitter isn’t going to end anything soon. After all, their fans just need a reason to compare the two. Each time, any of them posts something on social media or even sets foot out of the house, their fandom starts a fresh attack on the other. Just recently, the netizens blamed DP for being jealous of Alia’s Met Gala debut. And guess what? It’s Alia Bhatt who is at the receiving end this time!
Alia Bhatt recently left for Seoul to attend Gucci’s Cruise 2024 show at the Gyeongbokgung Palace. This will mark her debut as one of the brand’s global faces during the fashion extravaganza. Alia showed up at the airport in the perfect outfit for the occasion. She flaunted a denim-on-denim look, that included a tailored trench coat, a matching pair of jeans and a frilled blouse. She also carried a tan-coloured Gucci Bamboo 1947 handbag to complete the look!
While the SOTY actress received praise for the chic outfit, some were not impressed with her OOTD. They accused her of copying Deepika Padukone’s airport look. Back in 2022, DP had worn a similar trench after her return from the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
“Why do I feel every time she tries to copy DP??” wrote an Instagram user. “The difference between @aliaabhatt and @deepikapadukone is that Alia will only wear @gucci but queen wears the @louisvuitton @adidasoriginals @levis for her airport look.” wrote another.

IMHO, the two looks are entirely different. Just because Alia wore a denim trench, doesn’t make her outfit a copy of Deepika. In fact, the vibe and styling are entirely different. At this point, it looks like people would just make up random shi* to pitch these two against each other. Really sad.
