The 81st Golden Globes took place at Beverly Hills in California on Sunday, and everyone’s favourite video from the magnificent event is strangely not what you’d expect it to be. Now, a lot has been said and interpreted on what the conversation was about, or rather, who was it about, but that’s not our prerogative to discuss. What we’re concerned with is the sheer wholesome candidness of the moment that unintendedly highlighted one of the many beautous aspects of female friendships and girlhood in general.
This and there exist many other acts that scream peak girlhood, and we thought to revisit those today –
1. Whenever there’s some tea, you rush to your girls and share all the unhinged details of the scene, the first thing
The details are descriptive and very precise. Even the expressions and minute actions of the involved parties are discussed.
2. You are each other’s unpaid therapist, and it is something you do willingly and naturally
There is no emotionally rough patch you go through alone. If you have your girls around, they will try and cheer you up, no matter what. We don’t guarantee we’ll get you through your rough patch, but you’ll always find good listeners and uplifting gestures from us.

3. During a sleepover, you get up in the middle of the night and apply makeup on one another for no particular reason
There need not be an occasion, our close proximity is enough.
4. Found a special something? Let’s go through the screening first
Boyfriends and girlfriends will come and go, friendship is forever. Your prospective partner needs to earn their brownie points with us. We will have elaborate feedback to share.
5. You are each other’s biggest cheerleaders
We’re quadruple happy on your big days. We’re rooting for you, forever and always.
