Chances are you already know the answer to this but it’s still the most common and most expected question. Plus, the kind of work he does is one of the most important deciding factors.
What do you do outside of work?
You need to know of the man he is outside of work. Is he a workaholic, a party animal, a Netflix and chill kinda guy or someone who just doesn’t like socialising? You can ask him what time he gets back from work and if he’s a health freak. You may find some common connections here too.
Who are you the closest to in your family?
This question will make him open up about the atmosphere at home and what his family is like. You’ll get an understanding of the dynamics he shares with everyone. A sweet question that gives a lot of important insights!

Tell me about your friends.
Considering you are not much of a talker, asking the guy about his friends can open up a lot of conversations. Not only will you learn about the kind of people he hangs out with, but if he’s the talkative kinds, he’s sure to carry forward the discussion from there on!
Do you drink or smoke?
Yup, need to get that out of the way too. It could be a deal breaker for some. Plus, it’s important for him to know these things about you as well.

This is an important one to know about each other so that you’re both on the same page about it from the start.
What are your aspirations?
This will give you a clear insight into what he’s looking for from life. You’ll see what he wants to do and wants to be and where he sees his life moving towards.
What is most important to you – wealth, fame or happiness?
Again, a very important question to understand where he’s at. This will make you understand what exactly it is in life that you will connect on.
What are the most important qualities you look for in a partner?
This is an important question to understand whether both of you are compatible and are what the other person is looking for. It’ll give the two of you a better idea of how good a match you are.
What are your thoughts about religion?
This is the man you’re possibly going to spend the rest of your life with and maybe raise kids with, knowing his religious preferences or lack thereof can tell you if you are on the same page or if you’re willing to compromise.
We know you must be getting jitters and may be a bit nervous, but trust us it’ll all work out. It sounds cliched but be yourself! Once you get the conversation going, you will feel more confident and less reserved.
