10 Honest Thoughts I Had While Watching The Trailer Of ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’

After waiting for months, the moment every Ranbir Kapoor fan was waiting for is here. The trailer of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar dropped earlier today, and I’ve already watched it an embarrassing number of times. Feels like the film is going to be the perfect mix of fun and drama and I can’t wait to pre-book my tickets. If you are equally obsessed with the teaser, scroll down for my honest Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar movie review I had while watching it. I bet you’ll relate!

1. Finally, Ranbir Kapoor‘s back in his element. He hasn’t done this kind of a role since Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and I do see a little bit of Bunny in this “makkar premi”.

2. How can two people be so good-looking? Ranbir and Shraddha Kapoor‘s on-screen chemistry is crackling. I’m surprised that Bollywood didn’t think of this pairing sooner.

3. “Relationship mein ghusna aasan hai, usme se nikalna mushkil.” At a time when “ghosting” and “gaslighting” are the new dating trends, this film appears to be an honest take on modern love. I’m sure, it’ll be #RelatableAF!

4. What should I focus on—Ranbir Kapoor’s abs or Shraddha’s glamm looks?!

5. Is this a love story or not? The trailer quickly transitions from casual dating to shaadi ki taiyyari! But it’s a Luv Ranjan film, so I expect a little bit of razzle-dazzle. I say, bring on the shaadi scenes!

6. Uff! What are these exotic locations?

7. Damn, that’s Dimple Kapadia! Here’s hoping, this film compensates for her painfully tiny part in Brahmāstra.

8. I am loving the super catchy BGM. Can we skip to the part where the makers drop the entire music album?

9. Is Shraddha Kapoor actually a “dagabaaz?” In every Luv Ranjan film, the woman lead turns into an antagonist. But I am hoping Shraddha’s character goes through a stronger arch.

10. Is it going to be OTT? Yes. Am I here for it? Hell yes!

Well, I can’t wait to see this “makkar premi” and his “jhoothi premika’s” fun story. The film hits the theatre on March 8 and this one is going to be a ‘first day first show’ watch for me!
