I Couldn’t Take My Eyes Off Him On The Train Everyday, And Years Later…

It is said that there is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single moment. Here’s Zoë Folbigg– a mother, baker, writer and an author who fell for a stranger who walked into the train car of her usual commute. It was love at first sight for Zoe but not so for the guy. His nose was always stuck in books but that made Zoe like him even more because he was always reading something Zoe had already read.

Zoe was jeans and a converse girl before but, she started to dress up a bit more during her morning commutes. Even the fact that he didn’t look up from his book didn’t discourage her.

He became a regular point of conversation with her colleagues who motivated her to strike up a conversation with ‘the train man’ but she just couldn’t. Finally, it was her birthday and she decided to do something frivolous. Too timid to talk to him, Zoe handed him over a letter asking him to join her for a drink and included her email address. She promised she’ll leave him in solitude if it’s a ‘no’.

After waiting for many hours, she finally got a reply, “Thank you, that was a lovely thing to do, I would never have had the guts to do something like that. But unfortunately I have a girlfriend and I don’t think she’d like it if we went out for a drink. Happy birthday. Hope you have a nice day.” And with that, they went back to being silent commuters again.

However, eight months later she got an email from him asking if she would like to join him for a drink. Zoe was surprised. On their first date, they felt a strange connection- like they were made for each other. Three months later, they both moved in together. And three years later, it was on one of their vacations that Mark proposed to her for marriage.

Cut to 2017 and Zoe and Mark are happily married with two children. Zoe has even authored a book, ‘The Note’ on their love story. It’s all set to hit the bookstores near you on the 2nd of November.

Aww.. I guess this is what you call ‘A Happily Ever After’!
